This summer time birthday dinner party was themed around a seafood boil! How fun and creative!?! Originally intended to be held outdoors, this dinner party was moved indoors the day of after rain appeared in the forecast. So adjusted we did!
Helping to design the tablescape for this seafood boil dinner party celebration with some COVID-friendly pieces (like cup markers, wet naps, and individual metal serving buckets) was key to creating a comfortable atmosphere for guests. And since seafood boils are typically messy, we came prepared by having newspaper laid down instead of a tablecloth and plenty of wet naps on hand.
Although functionality was important for this event, we wanted to make sure beauty and detail were also infused throughout the spread. We sourced newspaper from the day and year the birthday girl was born, used vintage style blue plastic plates for ease of cleanup, placed colorful glassware that complimented the summer time hues of the floral centerpieces (all complimentary to red seafood), used gold flatware because who doesn’t love gold flatware, and sourced individual metal buckets so guests can fill as desired.
