This elegant outdoor wedding was so much fun to create! The bride-to-be had always dreamed of getting married on her parent’s property in Syracuse, NY – so when she officially chose that as her venue we were starting with a complete blank slate.
Our event planning and design went beyond just tablescapes and decor. We created the full vision of this venue from the ground up by working with the bride-to-be’s family to install pieces like a hand placed stone pathway for the aisle, which really separated the spaces of the wedding ceremony and reception, also by installing a retaining wall that created a defined altar/stage for where the bride and groom would be wed, and by building other structural items like a pergola, a simple arbor, etc.
When designing the look and feel for this wedding, keeping elegance at the forefront was our main goal as we didn’t want this backyard wedding to feel like an ordinary backyard party. While there were some rustic elements that paid tribute to the outdoors surrounding guests, a majority of the items sourced were items you would find at a typical wedding reception.
Except, there was nothing “typical” about this wedding!
We sourced a clear top tent not only so guests wouldn’t miss out on the beautiful views that this outdoor venue offered, but we didn’t want guests to feel like they were sitting under a tent in someone’s backyard like you would be at a graduation party. We loved every detail poured into this wedding by not only us as the planners and designers, but also the bride’s family.
